vivitar ultra wide and slim

Wow! i cant believe how amazing good this camera is! …

Its completely plastic, (lens and all
Its lens is super wide angle for a camera of this still, i got mine from ebay was £6 something but with an ebay voucher it came to £1.95 … Bonus!

Here are some of the shots i have taken with kodak elitechrome 100asa(iso)

These photos where from my first roll shot on this camera and i am really pleased with the out come,

the best thing about this camera is its light (can fit in your pocket) has the same beautiful effects as lomo cameras but for a fraction of the price (although i love my lca dearly) this camera can be put it you bag and snap away when ever you feel like it and for around £6-10 who can complain!!

It also comes already gift wrapped! Bonus! …. Poor mans lomo (i think not!)

You can have a look at more of my vivitar shot here

  1. What brilliant shots – and people pay £000s for SLR cameras. :)

Was the 3rd shot taken in Brick Lane?

The last shot would be classic if it didn’t have the distraction of the sign post.

Hope you’ve insured the camera against loss :)

  2. Thanks for your comments! i know i was one of those people who payed 100′s for my slr and now use my lomo cameras more lol!

The third shot what taken in the custard factory car park (birmingham) not sure the road its on tho but its easy enough to find if you know where the custard factory is.

i was doing a project in street and road signs hence the reason for the sign in the final image ;o)
but i may get one without would look good i agree ;o)

    Thanks again

  3. Hi everyone I’m starting a Vivitar Ultra Wide fan site on Myspace, I’m trying to get loads of people to join and show pictures.

    All are welcome: http://groups.myspace.com/VivitarUltraWide

    Thanx

  4. Nice shots. Which film did you use? I’m thinking of buying this! Lomography is getting more interesting to me. I’ve already got an ActionSampler and I want to build up my collection!

  5. hey shell!
Thanks for your comments on my blog… for these shots i used Kodak Elitechrome 100asa (slide film)
Great film provides some magical colors when x-pro’d … (processed in noram c41 chemicals)

I would defo get one of these there so cheap and you can get some great shots with out even trying! …

also if your getting into lomography make sure you check out the groups on flickr. and get your self an lc-a!

    lomo on!

  6. Is slide film expensive? Can you get it in supermarkets or only specialist shops?

Sorry to sound silly but what is x-pro’d?

I wish I had the money for an LCA! =s

  7. hi Shell, dont worry about sounding silly i hadnt got a clue when i first hurd it …

x-pro or cross processing is when you process a slide film as a normal film.

Slide films and color negative films are processed in diffrent cemicals.

So if you shoot on a slide film and take them to say Boots or Tesco and ask them to process the Slide film as a normal color negative film ie in c41 chemicals)

i found this link so you can see the diffrent styles that can be acheived . .

you can try searching on ebay for slide film’s or have a look around online for some … some shops still sell them but there quite expensive so you might be better off looking on the mighty bay ..

    hope this helps….

Get a vivitar ultra wide and slim you can get most of the effects of the lc-a with that …
